2. Types of Cookies We Use
HSC currently uses required storage and preference storage. We do not use analytics or advertising storage. The same rules apply to cookies, local storage and similar technologies used by websites and apps.

3. Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the HSC platform to operate. Without them, features like logging in, maintaining your session, and completing purchases would not work. These cookies cannot be disabled through our preference centre because disabling them would break core platform functionality. Under PECR, these cookies do not require your consent as they are strictly necessary.

4. Functional Cookies
Preference storage remembers selections you make and keeps requested features consistent between screens or visits. It is first-party browser storage, remains on your device and is not used to follow you across other services. You can remove it through your browser’s site-data controls.

5. Analytics Cookies
HSC does not currently run any analytics or advertising cookies. No analytics tag of any kind is loaded by the platform. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker. This section previously listed Google Analytics cookies and described a consent choice governing them; that was not accurate, and we have corrected it.
We may still collect limited technical data that does not require consent, such as server error logs, as this is necessary for security and stability.
If we introduce analytics in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before any such cookie is set.
6. Marketing Cookies
HSC does not currently use marketing cookies, advertising pixels or cross-site behavioural profiles. If this changes, we will update this policy and obtain any consent required before the technology is enabled.
Currently Used Marketing Cookies
At present, HSC does not deploy third-party advertising networks. If we introduce retargeting or paid advertising in the future, we will update this section with full details before activating any marketing cookies, and we will request fresh consent.
7. Third-Party Cookies
Some security and payment technologies are provided by third parties only on the screens that need them. Their use is limited to delivering the requested feature, protecting accounts or preventing payment fraud.
Stripe may place __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid when its payment interface loads. They support secure payment processing and fraud prevention.

On HSC
The storage HSC currently uses is described in sections 3 and 4. There are no analytics or marketing cookies to switch off, so there is nothing to configure here. This section previously described a preference centre with independent analytics and marketing toggles; no such centre exists, and we have corrected the description rather than leave the promise standing. The banner you see on your first visit also lets you check or change your language and display currency. Those choices update the existing preferences described in section 4. Continue or Dismiss records that you have seen the notice; it does not authorise analytics or advertising. Saved choices take priority over browser defaults.
If we introduce optional cookies, we will build that preference centre and ask for your consent before setting any of them.
Browser Settings
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete existing cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging into HSC or completing purchases.

9. Storage Notice and Choice
How the Notice Works
On your first visit to HSC (or after clearing your site data), we display a storage notice. Current storage either supports security and requested services or records and applies choices you make, such as language, appearance and currency. The notice is an acknowledgement because HSC does not currently set analytics or marketing storage. Dismissing it does not limit the platform.
Removing Stored Choices
You can clear preferences within HSC where a clear or reset action is provided, or remove the technologies listed in sections 3 and 4 through your browser’s site-data controls. Clearing required authentication storage signs you out. If HSC introduces storage that requires consent, it will remain off until you choose to allow it and you will be able to withdraw that choice.
Notice Record
Your acknowledgement of the notice is stored in your browser under hsc_cookie_consent. It stays until you clear your site data. An earlier version of this policy described a 12-month hsc_cookie_prefs consent record; no such record was ever created.
